Window cleaning FAQs

Why should we use the “Pure Water-Fed Pole Window Cleaning System”?

Using the pure water fed pole system will ensure greater privacy (no window cleaner looking through your bedroom windows) and will eliminate any damage that may occur by resting ladders on window frames, gutters etc. Risk of damage to lawns, flower beds and outbuildings will be minimized too.

Is it more expensive than a traditional window cleaner?

No, it is no more expensive because it takes much less time and man-power than using ladders.

How do you price a window cleaning job?

We take into consideration how many windows you have, what type of property you live in, and whether the property is awkward to manoeuvre around with our pole and hose.

Is your brush heavy on our windows and will it cause scratches on the glass?

No, we use light, carbon fibre poles and very soft bristle brushes. Our method of cleaning will not cause any scratches on your windows.

Will your water fed pole clean my uPVC window frames?

Yes, at no extra charge! If you have uPVC window frames our system will wash down your frames and include any uPVC doors too!

Can you wash windows that have wooden window frames?

Yes, as long as your window frames are in prime condition. We don’t wash wooden frames down like we do with uPVC window frames.

Will the water fed pole leave any water marks/drips on our windows?

If you have been using a traditional window cleaner up to the present you may notice minor spotting for the first few washes. A traditional window cleaner will have necessarily left detergent residue on your windows, which, after rain, can leave spotting. After a few washes by Squeak and Bubbles pure water system there will be no trace of detergent left. Because of this your windows will appear to remain cleaner for longer!

Remember too that with a traditional window cleaner your windows frames may not have been cleaned for a long time which may also cause a little streaking for the first few washes.

We have leaded windows, can you wash our windows?

Yes, no problem at all.

Do we need a stop tap outside our house so you can use the water to clean our windows?

No, we use purified water from the back of our vans. We do not use any of your water, as the water has to go through a purification process before your windows can be cleaned.

How often should our windows be cleaned?

We recommend once a month due to the notorious British weather.

Do you offer a one-off window cleaning service?

Yes we do.

Do you cover my area?

We cover the whole of the Leeds region for residential window cleaning, and the whole of West Yorkshire for commercial window cleaning.

Are you insured?

Yes we are fully insured for both residential and commercial properties, up to £5 million public liability. A copy of our insurance can be sent to you if requested.

Am I tied in to a contract?

No. You can cancel our services at any time.

How do we pay you?

Payment methods can be found on the bottom of the contact us page.

Carpet cleaning FAQs

Do you clean both commercial and domestic carpets?

Yes we undertake both domestic and commercial carpet cleaning.

How does your system work?

Squeak and Bubbles carpet cleaners use modern hot water extraction carpet cleaning machines, (sometimes called steam carpet cleaning).

We pre-condition the soiled surface first which breaks down the dirt. Then, along with hot water, the carpet cleaning machine evenly distributes the cleaning solution via a fine spray onto the carpet surface. The exclusive vibrating brush on the machine then gently agitates and works the solution right to the base of the carpet.  The dirty water and residue is then immediately and powerfully extracted by a strong vacuum, all in the one quick process.

Do all stains come out of the carpets?

The hot water extraction method (or steam method as it is sometimes called) is the best method for removing stains, ground in dirt and odours. Even tough to remove stains like wine, chocolate, mud or remains of pet deposits may be removed. If you have any splashed paint, nail varnish or similar, these will not come out. Our Squeak and Bubbles carpet cleaner will give you advice before any work is started.

Do you require us to clean the carpet before you arrive?

Yes, you should vacuum the carpet in time for our arrival.

Should we move anything out of the room ready for the carpets to be cleaned?

Yes, any heavy furniture such as sofas, chairs, large cabinets, dining room tables and large heavy beds should be moved so we can clean the carpets more thoroughly. You can leave these items in place if you prefer, but the carpet cleaner will only clean around the items left in rooms. We will move small items of furniture around though, such as lamp stands and small coffee tables.

How long will it take for our carpets to dry?

Your carpets are cleaned right down to their base but because most of the water is then quickly extracted your carpets are left around 80% dry. Depending on factors such as the time of year, ventilation and heat in the property, carpets will usually take between 2 to 5 hours to completely dry.

Do you clean staircases?

We clean staircases, hallways, bedrooms, and more. In fact wherever you have a carpet or a rug we can clean it!

What do you need access to?

We will need a power supply and a hot water tap to fill our carpet cleaner.
